Reiki is an ancient stress reduction and relaxation technique that has been shown to have several benefits for physical and mental health. It is a gentle, noninvasive therapy that involves the practitioner gently placing their hands on or near the body.
During a Reiki session, animals often experience a deep state of peace as the Reiki clears imbalances, allowing new and harmonious patterns of health and wellness to emerge. Physical contact is not a requirement for Reiki, and traditionally, the practitioner offers Reiki to the animal hands-off unless the animal is comfortable with contact. It is used to help with animal anxiety and trauma and to modify unwanted behaviors.
